The MÜHLE Shaving Culture was born in 1945 within a factory in Saxony, northern Germany. For over 75 years, this family-owned business has designed, developed, and manufactured the finest quality shaving products, catering to shaving enthusiasts worldwide.

Founding (1945): Otto Johannes Müller established the business after returning from the war, creating the first shaving brushes and designing the iconic MÜHLE signet.

New Generation (1965): Hans-Jürgen Müller took over the company, which had grown to 40 employees, and began exporting MÜHLE products to 36 countries.

Expropriation (1972): Under pressure from the German Democratic Republic, Hans-Jürgen Müller sold the company, and MÜHLE became a state-owned enterprise.

Taking Leave (1987): The rebranded business now only manufactured brushes for the state, and Hans-Jürgen Müller became a self-employed brush maker.

New Beginning (1990): As a new Europe emerged, Hans-Jürgen Müller regained the family business, trading as Hans-Jürgen Müller KG, with the MÜHLE signet intact.

Celebrating 50 Years (1995): MÜHLE struggled to survive after reunification, but gradually won new customers and rehired former employees.

Boom (2006): The offering expanded to a full range of wet shaving goods, and the MÜHLE brand came to the fore.

In 2021, MÜHLE launched the first safety razor designed with the needs of all users in mind, regardless of gender, continuing their legacy of innovation.
